Urban Forestation

Noble Oak is excited to sink our roots into Urban Forestation. Urban trees help reduce urban heat, increase residents’ access to green spaces, filter pollutants in the air & water, and more. Unfortunately, trees are not distributed equally: communities of color & low-income communities are disproportionately affected by climate change & disinvestment and need urban trees now more than ever. Join us as we get started on this journey.

Cincinnati, Ohio

Noble Oak teamed up with Giving and The Common Orchard Project to plant public orchards in Cincinnati, Ohio. These common orchards provide increased food access, tree canopy, walkable greenspace, and community building in neighborhoods that have experienced disinvestment. Folks in the community can train to become Orchard Stewards who serve as the primary caregivers to these public orchard. The mission is to empower, train, and equip stewards to grow healthy, abundant fruit in their communities.
