Project Description/Objective: Reforest headwaters of the West Branch of Owego Creek for flood attenuation, bank stabilization, and habitat corridor expansion
Ecological Benefits: Following an aquatic passage obstruction removal for eastern brook trout, planting trees and shrubs in the area add habitat, temperature regulation, and bank stabilization to the area.
Community Benefits: Reforesting this area will provide habitat continuity to the area and complement a Finger Lakes Land Trust easement to forever protect the property from development.
